Important data on detection limits of internal monitoring analysis measurements for the various radionuclides are given with no specific indication of the references for each data (whether it is entitled as a "typical detection limit" or a "achievable detection limit").  It is not clear whether these detection limit values are for measurements done on a routine basis for mass number of workers or that they are so comlpicated that can be used only for very special cases and cannot be used for analysis on a mass basis. What are "achievable detection limits" (which are generally an order of magnitude less than the "typical detection limits"). Have the "achievable detection limits" been achieved and being used on a routine basis by any laboratory?

These issues are important for laboratories that intend to improve their detection limits and want to rely on specific published references on the various analysis techniques.
